1,200 system installations located primarily in the eastern United States, Lucas
is one of the largest point-of-sale and information systems providers in the eastern
United States.

Point of Sale Systems…Integrated Kitchen Video Preparation Screens…Integrated Credit
Card and Gift Card Software…Wireless Touchscreen Terminals…Indoor Order-Confirmation
Screens… “Back-Office” Software Suite (that includes among other features integrated
employee time-clock, labor scheduling, a complete inventory module, to include internet
access to food purveyors, auto-accept of truck orders into inventory module, electronic
“count sheets” and complete sales, payroll and inventory tracking and reporting)…and
a “Headquarters” Software Module (that provides for Polling, Remote Database Maintenance,
Remote Access and Consolidated Reporting for multi-unit restaurant operators). In
addition to its Touchscreen POS systems business, the company has a modern repair/rework
facility and provides electronic rework/repair and parts to various OEM’s and 3rd
Party Service companies providing products and services to the restaurant industry.
Lucas provides its range of products and services to customers in 31 states.
Customers:
The company’s customers represent a “who’s who” of the
quick-service restaurant industry. Customers include franchised locations of A&W,
Arbys, Bojangles, Burger King, Carl’s Jr, Checkers, Dairy Queen, Guthries, Hardees,
Kentucky Fried Chicken, Port City Java, Smithfields BBQ, Taco Bell, Wendys and numerous
other multi-unit sandwich, burger and coffee-house restaurants. Most recently the
company has been named an approved supplier for CKE Restaurants, whose operations
and holdings include Carl Jr, Hardees, Red Burrito and Taco Bueno restaurants. Given
this approval, the company has recently received system orders from Hardee’s Franchisees
nationally. With this corporate approval and the release of its most current POS software
version, the company is experiencing significant growth and expects to double its
install-base within a couple of years.
Staff:
Most of the company’s technical support staff and management
team have quick-service restaurant operations experience. From this experience,
